List of nodal points along pipeline axis (Output Table)
The output data table NODES provides a list of the generated nodes on the pipeline axis defined by their spatial coordinates in the GLOBAL coordinate system. The NODES coordinates are given in high accuracy to enable the user to specify accurate enough X-P values in other tables. Moreover the length coordinates of the nodes along the (projection of the) pipeline axis are provided (AX-L and AX-LP values).
For specification of nodes-based data, a LOCAL node-coordinate system is defined. The node x-axis is defined from the mid-point of the foregoing element to the mid-point of the following element. The local y-axis is defined in the horizontal plane, in such a way, that the local z-axis has an angle to the global Z-axis less than 90 degrees. This is the LOCAL node coordinate system. The LOCAL node coordinate system is a right-handed, orthogonal system.
In case the x-axis nearly (less than .001 rad) coincides with the Z-axis or -Z-axis the y-axis is chosen in the direction of the Y-axis.
