List of hydrodynamic forces on pipeline, for submerged elements (Output Table)
The output data table WAFOR provides an overview list of the calculated wave/current forces exerted on the submerged elements of the pipeline. The forces given in the global X-Y-Z coordinate system as forces per unit of length are assumed to be constant over the element length. In Design Function 5 the element forces are concentrated at the end points of the elements (nodes) and, multiplied by the load factor from table LOCASE, reported in output table W-LOAD.
The influence of the following phenomena and structural aspects on the magnitude of the hydrodynamic forces is taken into account, if applicable and specified:
•shortcrestedness of wave
•interaction between wave and current
•external coatings and marine growth
•proximity of stream disturbing members
•dynamic amplification due to vibration of free spans
The loadcase reference name is shown in the table heading.
