Specification of soil subsidences with predefined shape (Input Table)
Through the input table SUBSIDE vertical soil subsidences due to among other things construction of a pipeline structure can be specified.
The predefined shapes of the subsidence are a sine curve or a block shape.
The following options exist:
•one sine wave length with continuous and smooth path from zero through maximum value to zero.
•half sine wave with smooth path from zero to maximum value at sine amplitude and then a jump to zero (discontinuity) or vice versa.
•block shape with jump from zero to constant value and after specified length jump back to zero.
(Wave) length and amplitude (magnitude and location) must be specified. By combining above options a great variety of paths of subsidences can be obtained.
