Data description/Result options:

ANGLE:

Location at circumference where calculations have been performed

(measured in positive sense around x-axis from y-axis)

MOHR1:

Maximum of tensile stresses at inner and outer wall face according to Mohr's criterion ¹

(Blank if no tensile stress)

MOHR2:

Maximum of compressive stresses at inner and outer wall face according to Mohr's criterion ¹

(Blank if no compressive stress)

TRESCA:

Maximum of shear stresses at inner and outer wall face according to Tresca's criterion ¹

(Tresca is half the difference between the largest and the smallest principal stress in the same point (see Theor. Manual):
TRESCA = 0.5*(SIG1 - SIG2) if the signs of SIG1 and SIG2 differ,
TRESCA = 0.5*SIG1 if SIG1 and SIG2 have a positive sign,
TRESCA = -0.5*SIG2 if SIG1 and SIG2 have a negative sign)

MISES:

Maximum of equivalent stresses at inner and outer wall face according to Von Mises' criterion ¹

SXHT:

Maximum of longitudinal normal stresses at inner and outer wall face ¹

(Maximum of summated stress components SXI+SXU and SXO+SXU)

SFHT:

Maximum of circumferential normal stresses at inner and outer wall face ¹

(Maximum of summated stress components SFI+SFU and SFO+SFU)

SHOOP:

Circumferential normal stress due to internal overpressure

(The hoop stress is calculated taking into account the outer pipe diameter D, the minimum wall-thickness T-min and the load factor.)
