Number of first element where stress calculations have to be done

Number of last element where stress calculations have to be done

(If EELEM = Undefined, it is assumed that EELEM = SELEM)

TOPLOAD:

Indicator whether TOPLOAD has to be taken into account in stress calculations

Prescribed names:
No: TOPLOAD will not be added to top soil load
Yes: TOPLOAD will be added to top soil load

CTYPE:

Construction type

Prescribed names:
A, B, C, D or New

(- For existing pipelines (dating from before 24-1-1991) the allowable hoop stress is dependent on the construction type A, B, C or D. See Belgian law, Royal Decision dated 11 march 1966.
- For new pipelines laid after 24-01-1991 (NEW) a modification of the law is applicable meaning that the allowable hoop stress is dependent on the yield stress of the pipe material.
- The program determines the allowable hoop stress starting from the specified CTYPE and checks the calculated hoop stress(es).)

 

¹ Column may be toggled to X-P, AX-L, AX-LP, NODE or IDENT, see toggling data tables. If the table is toggled and the number/value in both columns is the same, then the element nearest to the specified value will be calculated unless this is a WEAK element.
