This chapter provides descriptions and instructions on how to use the graph drawing functionality of Ple4Win using data from one single data table.
1.Open a data table 2.Select at least 1 or more columns from this table Columns can be selected by clicking, Shift+clicking and/or Ctrl+clicking.
With a node/element based table the node/element values will be on the X-axis. For other tables at least 2 columns should be selected. The first selected column will become the x-axis, data from all other columns are treated as y-values.
3.Click on the 'Single Graph' button (on the toolbar of the data table) to add these data to the Single Graph and subsequently create the graph.
The single graph panel will appear as a new tab in the workspace.

There are several ways to zoom and pan the graph:
To zoom in/out by 25%
|
Click the or button
Using this method, the aspect ratio of the graph is locked.
|
To pan up/down, left/right or diagonal
|
Click the appropriate button
|
To zoom in on a specific region
of the graph area
|
Click on the graph area and drag while holding down the mouse button until the desired region is selected, then release the mouse button.
|
To exactly define the boundaries
of the graph(s) shown
|
Values can be entered in the Xmin , Xmax , Ymin or Ymax textboxes. Empty textboxes leave that limit as-is. Note that the y-axis limits have to be entered for each graph individually.
Using Yref a reference value can be given to create a reference line in the graph. A reference line will be drawn for both the positive and negative value.
Using this method, the aspect ratio of the graph is not locked.
On the x-axis, distances have to be entered, even if node/element numbers are shown on the x-axis. See the toggle-note below.
|
To reset all zoom or pan actions
|
Click the button.
|
If the x-axis shows nodes or elements numbers, a click on the axis toggles between node/element numbers and AX-L coordinates.
If applicable, pipe bend areas are shown as vertical grey bars in the graph area.
Should the drawing appear garbled, a double-click on the graphs-area will redraw it.
|
To link similar Y-axes (with equal dimensions), simply select the Link checkbox.
