Updating the Ple4Win hardware key

Make sure that the hardware key is attached to the computer where Ple4Win is installed.

1.On the Windows notification area (system tray) , click on the Codemeter icon .

2.A Codemeter Control Center window appears showing the first tab License.

3.Make sure that the list at the left is not empty (if empty means that the key is not connected or not recognised).

1.Open the Codemeter Control Center as described above.

2.Click on the License Update button.

3.CmFAS Assistant screen appears, click the Next button.

4.Make sure that the first option (Create license request) is selected, then click the Next button .

5.Again, select the first option (Extend existing license) and click on the Next button.

6.Make sure that the checkbox next to Expert Design Systems (100156) in the producer list is selected. Click the Next button.

7.Select a location to save the context file. If necessary, change the default location using the Browse location button. Then, click on the Commit button.

Make sure that the store location must be a local drive ('C:\'). If you select a relative path (starting with '\') or a network location (starting with '\\'), the Commit button will not be enabled and you are unable to continue.

8.The context file will be created, a confirmation screen is shown. Click the Finish button to close this screen.

9.Send an e-mail to info@eds-ple.nl with the context file as attachment.

Make sure that the hardware key is attached to the computer where Ple4Win is installed. With the e-mail received from Expert Design Systems, save the attached *.WibuCmRaU file to a temporary location.

1.Using the Windows Explorer, navigate to the *.WibuCmRaU file and double click this file. A confirmation message is shown.

2.Click Yes to confirm,

3.If the hardware key is successfully updated, an informational message will be shown afterwards.

4.If requested by Expert Design Systems, generate once again a new Context file and mail it to info@eds-ple.nl for verification.

Should the above procedure not work, e.g. because Windows does not recognised the *.WibuCmRaU file, then follow the alternative steps below.

1.Open the Codemeter Control Center as described above.

2.Click on the License Update button.

3.CmFAS Assistant screen appears, click the Next button.

4.Select the second option (Import license update), then click the Next button.

5.Navigate to the temporary store location using the Browse location button and select the *.WibuCmRaU file. Then, click the Commit button.

6.The hardware key is updated, a confirmation screen is shown. Click the Finish button to close this screen.

7.If requested by Expert Design Systems, generate once again a new Context file and mail it to info@eds-ple.nl for verification.
