Specification of longitudinal and circumferential weld weakening factors (Input Table)
Data description/conditions:
LNGT-WELD:
Longitudinal weld affecting the normal stress in circumferential direction
(Stress components SFUBA, SFURA, SFISH/SFOSH and SFIRA/SFORA. Column not accessible.)
LW-FAC:
Weld weakening factor for LNGT-WELD stress components ¹
> 0. and ≤ 1.
[Default: 1.0]
CIRC-WELD:
Circumferential weld affecting the normal stress in longitudinal direction
(Stress components SXUB0, SXUB1, SXUBH, SXISH/SXOSH and SXIRA/SXORA Column not accessible.)
CW-FAC:
Weld weakening factor for CIRC-WELD stress components ¹
> 0. and ≤ 1.
[Default: 1.0]
Note 1 : No weakening factors are provided for TX shear stress components, because these components are zero at the inner and outer wall side, where the equivalent and principal stresses are calculated.
Note 2 : No weakening factors are provided for TZ full stress components, because weld imperfections are considered to occur locally only.
Note 3 : The weakening factors work out as stress intensification factors. Stresses are divided by their respective weakening factors.
Max/Min: 5/5 rows
¹ Weld weakening factors are used for equivalent, principal and uniaxial stress calculations only (tables CSTRMAX and CSTRESS)
